'Not Fade Away' is op de setlist vervangen door 'Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum'. Hoewel dit de eerste 'Tweedle Dee' in bijna acht jaar is (de laatste keer dat Dylan het speelde was op 16 juli 2015), is de toevoeging van deze song aan de setlist geen grote verrassing. Eerder deze week dook er op Facebook een foto van een setlist van een van de concerten in Portugal op. Op die setlist stond 'Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum' als mogelijkheid genoemd.

Uncut nr. 315 (aug. 2023) heeft een korte, door Richard Williams geschreven recensie van Shadow Kingdom. Het album krijgt een 8 (van maximaal 10) van Williams. Hoogtepunt op het album volgens deze recensent: 'What Was It You Wanted': 'Adding new depth to the words of a man reaching back into his life and groping for meaning in a series of questions seemingly addressed to his god'. Zo heb ik de song nog niet gehoord, moet ik bekennen. Toch maar eens opnieuw luisteren.

Mania 398 heeft een korte, door Henri Drost geschreven recensie van Shadow Kingdom. Het mooie van de recensies in Mania is dat ze over het algemeen meer beschrijvend dan oordelend zijn. Elf is het antwoord op de vraag: hoe vaak kan een dichter de woorden 'blowing in the wind' in een dichtbundel stoppen?

Dat een dichter de zinsnede 'blowing in the wind' gebruikt in een gedicht kan natuurlijk (en dat ik als lezer dan misschien wel geheel ten onrechte aan de gelijknamige Dylansong denk, is onoverkomelijk), maar zo vaak als Val Warner deze zinsnede in Before Lunch gebruikt is natuurlijk geen toeval meer. Met uitzondering van die ene, op bladzijde 131, lijkt Warner met de woorden 'blowing in the wind' niet een keer te verwijzen naar de gelijknamige Dylansong. Wonderlijk, vooral omdat Warner wel degelijk bekend is met Dylans werk, zelfde bundel:

blz. 22: 'impressions of desolation row'

blz. 47: 'you only wasted mt precious time as the Dylan song goes.'

blz. 54: 'Stood up by her high pane, Saturday dawned light on the window-box, the page The Times - they are a-changing, still... she lacks the nerve for life.' 

blz. 73: 'After these monster marches, they call for tomorrow's stage, bringing it all back home, with more community work.'

Mark Oliver Everett - Things The Grandchildren Should Know (2008)

blz. 201: 'On September 11, 2001, I was in London, in the midst of the Souljacker tour. I appeared on a morning radio talk show where I debated the host over his negative assessment of the Bob Dylan album that had been released that day by demanding, "Do you really think you know better that Bob Dylan!?"
